Accommodation

Rooms

The lodge has 77 accommodation units: 60 guest rooms, 12 suites and five free-standing villas. Guest rooms have private balconies or terraces, with savannah and waterhole views depending on category. Terrace Suites add a private pool, outdoor shower and separate living space. The one-, two- and three-bedroom villas provide more space and privacy, with their own pools and dedicated service. A private pool belongs to the relevant suite or villa category, rather than every room.

Meals at Four Seasons Serengeti are planned around the safari day, with early breakfasts, relaxed lunches and dinners in camp or outdoors when conditions allow. Dietary requirements can be arranged before travel.

What to do

Activities

Game drives explore the surrounding central Serengeti, with optional balloon flights and guided walks arranged around conditions. At the lodge, the main infinity pool overlooks the waterhole, while the spa, fitness centre and Discovery Centre give options between drives. The family programme adds activities for younger guests. Resident wildlife makes the central location useful beyond migration months, but sightings are never guaranteed.

Allow three or four nights if you want to balance game drives with time at the lodge. We would compare a Ngorongoro stay for a broader northern journey, or another Serengeti location when the migration is the main reason to travel. No. It is a substantial safari lodge with several room and suite categories and separate villas. We recommend comparing its atmosphere with a smaller camp before deciding.

Do all rooms have a private pool?

No. Pools are attached to particular suites and villas rather than every room. We make the exact category and facilities explicit in your proposal.

Can we focus entirely on the Great Migration from the lodge?

The best base depends on where the herds are expected during your dates. We may suggest another Serengeti location if access to a particular migration area matters more than lodge facilities.

How can it fit a first Tanzania safari?

Combine a Serengeti stay with Ngorongoro for contrasting wildlife settings, then add Zanzibar if you want beach time. The number of stops should reflect your available nights.
