Accommodation
Zawadi has twelve ocean-front villas of approximately 100 square metres. Each has a private terrace and plunge pool overlooking the Indian Ocean, a seating area and a large en-suite bathroom with a freestanding bath, walk-in shower and double vanity. Air conditioning, Wi-Fi and tea and coffee facilities provide practical comforts. Its small scale and sea-facing layout suit a quiet beach stay.
Food & drink
Dining at Zawadi is a highlight of the stay, with a focus on fresh seafood, local produce, and a fusion of international and Zanzibari flavours. Meals are served in the open-air restaurant or on guests’ private terraces, offering a mix of casual beachside lunches and more refined candlelit dinners. The kitchen is flexible and happy to cater to individual tastes, dietary requirements, or spontaneous cravings.
What to do
The shared pool, private villa plunge pools and beach provide places to relax. Snorkelling, diving and other water activities can be arranged around sea conditions and experience. Tennis and gym access at sister properties uses scheduled transfer arrangements. Stone Town, spice farms and Jozani Forest are separate excursions; diving, treatments and outings should not be assumed to be complimentary.
