Here, you'll witness thousands of wildebeest in their majestic herds as they traverse the vast Serengeti landscape.
Serengeti Safari Camp was the first of its kind, designed with a purpose in mind: to be in the best possible location to view the wildebeest migration. Each year, this little camp casts off and begins its odyssey, covering hundreds of miles and moving every couple of months along a route that the herds have travelled for hundreds of years; this is where you come for your migration fix!

Accommodation
Accommodation consists of six tents, including a family tent (children from 8 years old are welcome). Inside each tent, there’s a comfy double bed or twin beds, bedside tables and lighting, and a writing desk. The family tent has a connecting lounge. Each tent’s en-suite facilities comprise a flush toilet, wash basin, and separate safari/bucket shower.
Food & drink
Meals at Serengeti Safari Camp are planned around the safari day, with early breakfasts, relaxed lunches and dinners in camp or outdoors when conditions allow. Dietary requirements can be arranged before travel.
What to do
Game drives follow wildlife activity around the camp’s seasonal location, with guides interpreting tracks, behaviour and the wider ecosystem. The mobile camp moves between Serengeti areas through the year, bringing different landscapes and wildlife opportunities. The emphasis is time in the field and a small canvas camp rather than extensive leisure facilities. Migration sightings depend on rainfall and the herds’ movements.
Planning your stay
Establish the camp’s seasonal position before choosing flights or the rest of the itinerary. Three or four nights gives the guide flexibility to explore. Ngorongoro adds a different northern wildlife experience, while Zanzibar creates a longer safari and beach journey without adding another similar camp.
