Accommodation
Sasakwa’s collection comprises ten cottages and a separate one-bedroom Hillside Suite. The cottages include six one-bedroom, two two-bedroom, one three-bedroom and one four-bedroom option, all with private plunge pools. The Hillside Suite has its own swimming pool and a different layout and service arrangement. The bedroom count and category should be matched to the group rather than treating every booking as a single lodge suite.
Food & drink
Dining at Sasakwa Lodge is refined yet relaxed, celebrating seasonal produce and regional flavours in a variety of settings. Guests can enjoy meals in the main dining area with panoramic views, private villa terraces, or bespoke bush dinners under the stars. A curated wine selection and attentive service complement the experience, while the lodge’s focus on farm-to-table ingredients and sustainability enhances both flavour and environmental responsibility.
What to do
Game drives explore Grumeti, with guided walking subject to age requirements and local conditions. Sasakwa has two tennis courts, a fitness centre, spa treatments and a shared lodge pool in addition to the cottage pools. Family activities can be tailored to the children travelling. Ballooning and specialist experiences require separate arrangements and may carry additional charges.
Planning your stay
Allow three or four nights so there is time to appreciate the hilltop stay as well as wildlife drives. A northern Serengeti camp can introduce different seasonal wildlife country. Within Grumeti, compare Faru Faru and Sabora for style before deciding whether another move adds enough to the journey.
