About Laba Explorer
LABA Explorer, also presented by the operator as Out of Africa Legend, is a fixed tented camp in central Serengeti. It is distinct from LABA’s separate seasonal Migration Camp.
The central location makes this a base for the surrounding Serengeti landscape and resident wildlife. Migration movements vary through the year; choosing this camp should not depend on a promise of herds or river crossings outside its area.

Dining
Dining with LABA Explorer is a highly personalised experience, with fresh meals prepared in remote bush settings by dedicated safari teams. Menus are influenced by local Tanzanian ingredients and international cuisine, served in communal or private outdoor dining setups depending on the day’s location. Bush breakfasts, sundowner drinks and open-fire dinners are central to the experience, creating a strong sense of atmosphere and connection to the landscape.

Does LABA Explorer move with the migration?
The Out of Africa Legend camp is a fixed central Serengeti base. LABA’s separate Migration Camp should not be confused with this property.
Where is the camp?
It is in central Serengeti. We confirm the arrival airstrip and transfer arrangements for your itinerary.
Can we see river crossings from this base?
The northern Mara River crossing areas require a different location. Crossings are never guaranteed, and a central stay should not be chosen on that expectation.
Can we combine it with Ngorongoro?
Yes. A northern itinerary can include the Serengeti and Ngorongoro, with the order and travel method arranged around your dates.
